On 10 June 2026, the President and Secretary of the Nepal Biomedical Association (NBA) had the honor of welcoming the graduating DBEE 5th, 6th, 10th, and 11th batches during the farewell program organized at the National Health Training Center (NHTC). During the program, NBA President Mr. Bikesh Shrestha congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to begin their professional journey with dedication, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. He highlighted the vital role of biomedical professionals in ensuring safe and reliable healthcare technology across Nepal. Addressing the graduates, NBA Secretary Nishesh Khatiwada emphasized that the Nepal Biomedical Association is the parental organization and professional home for all biomedical professionals in Nepal. He assured the new graduates that NBA will always stand by them throughout their careers. He encouraged them to remember the Association whenever they face professional challenges, workplace difficulties, or require guidance, support, or advocacy. The First Convention of the Nepal Biomedical Association (NBA) was successfully held at SA College, Jorpati, Kathmandu, marking a historic milestone in uniting biomedical professionals under a common national platform. The convention brought together biomedical engineers, biomedical equipment technicians, students, and healthcare technology professionals with a shared vision of strengthening the biomedical profession and advancing healthcare technology management in Nepal. A major highlight of the convention was the formation of the founding Executive Committee of the Nepal Biomedical Association. Mr. Bikesh Shrestha was elected as President, Er. Anu Nepali as Vice President, Nishesh Khatiwada as Secretary, Rajesh Acharya as Under Secretary, and Uttam Pokharel as Treasurer. The Central Committee members included Sushil Sitoula, Tara Bahadur Kunwar, Jeevan Gautam, Er. Shrijan Gautam, Kanchan Chaudhary, and Sujan Bastola. The convention laid a strong foundation for NBA as the national umbrella organization representing biomedical professionals across Nepal.
